San Pedro Playhouse and Classic Theatre together serve as a launching pad for countless San Antonio-born artists. Now the stage awaits your debut!
Originally founded in 2008 by Asia Ciaravino, Tony Ciaravino, Diane Malone, Rick Malone, Terri Peña Ross, Allan S. Ross, and Chris Cheever, The Classic Theatre boasts an impressive legacy, including over 70 Alamo Theatre Arts Council Awards. In 2023, merging forces with the Public Theatre of San Antonio, our theater became the vibrant nexus where community and the art of theater seamlessly intertwine under the San Pedro Playhouse. The Classic now inhabits the beloved ‘cellar theatre space’ and collaborates on Shakespeare in the Park.
Through ongoing leadership initiatives, we continuously seek to embrace differences, foster a caring culture, and ensure equitable representation across all facets of our organization and the broader community.
Great location if you want a small, intimate theater experience. Our seats were placed around the stage. Loved our particular show too.
The acting was top-notch, and I’d be glad to return and see Kurt Wilkinson as lead. Great work. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our visit and the play was phenomenal! The cast did an amazing job 👏
